Khemeka is a plus model, and relationship blogger, hailing from the beautiful island of Jamaica. She came to the United States at the tender age of five. She knew from a young age that she wanted to spread her wings and make a name for herself. That came easy as she grew up in the fashion mecca itself; New York City. She has been modeling for several years and enjoys the synergy of working with designers and photographers. She states clearly, “My duty is to showcase the designers garment as I become a hanger for their masterpiece.”
She has participated in various fashion shows ripping the runway for WBLS Circle of Sisters, Bridal Expo and Harlem Week, as well as Full Blossom Fashion Week becoming one of the faces of 2014. She has featured in various magazines such as; Full Blossom, Model Call, and Black Sophisticates Hair. She made several TV appearances on the Meredith Vieira and Dr. Oz show. Most recently, she teamed up with Dr. Oz to release the “Body Positive PSA” which can be viewed on the link [Body Positive]. The PSA speaks to “women of size” in an effort to uplift, inspire, and empower them to have body acceptance of their current shape and size.
In addition to modeling, she has been fortunate enough to lend her talents to acting. She was fortunate enough to have principal roles in the WWE Promo for the group “New Day“, Soco (Brooklyn commercial), and a Pharmaceutical commercial that aired in the first quarter of 2015.
She is the creator of the “Would I Date Me” series. The series is focused entirely on the relationships between men and women. It is not limited to, singles; engaged, married, and divorced individuals are all welcomed. The one question she encourages everyone to ask is, “Would I Date Me?” It goes beyond the surface of looks, it taps into the inner core of each person.
Recently, one of her blogs featured on Ezine Articles, in the junior author category. Her blogs, which are found on http://www.khemekab.com, range in topics from dating, marriage, and singlehood. As she strives to be a well sought after Petite Plus Model, Blogger, and Author; she hopes that others will follow in her footsteps as they strive to live out their dreams.
